I’m very excited to have been awarded the 3rd prize for Best Student Talk at the joint EFP-GfP 2022 Symposium in Arnhem! My presentation titled “Tool use and Tidal Cycles: Activity Patterns in Island-living White-faced Capuchin Monkeys (Cebus capucinus imitator)” was about the first chapter of my PhD thesis on the tool-using capuchins in Coiba National Park. An added bonus was that the conference was in Burgers’ Zoo, so I got to visit the chimps again and see a lot of familiar (human and non-human) faces! I even ran into a great series of signs on research at the zoo that also included some of my previous work. .
